Fall portrait session at North West Community Park

Fall portrait session at North West Community Park

Nothing beats a family portrait in the fall….

As the leaves start to turn and the air cools down, there's something special about gathering your family together for a portrait session. It's the perfect time to capture beautiful images that showcase the love and connection you share with your family.

Sister's family portrait studio session

I love doing studio portraits! I rent this cute studio space in Bedford, TX with amazing natural light and am able to choose from a whole collection of props, furniture and rolling back grounds. When Patrice called me this summer wanting to do a session for her sister’s birthday gift, I knew the studio would be the perfect location for us! It’s great for summer or winter sessions because it’s climate controlled and we don’t have to worry about the weather! I also love shooting in the studio because we can schedule at any time during daylight hours and get great natural light without having to wait for sunset. Maggie and Omar at White Rock lake

I had the pleasure of photographing Maggie and Omar's wedding last year in Dallas.  They called me just before the holidays to do a portrait session of them to use in a holiday card, and also to have some updated portraits of them as a married couple with their sweet pups!  I am always happy when I get to work with wedding clients after the wedding and this session was no exception.  White Rock Lake is a great location for portraits.  I am always finding new spots there to use in sessions.  This fall, my favorite spot was an over-grown field that was the perfect backdrop to any type of portrait session.  Unfortunately, shortly after this session the field was mowed, which means it will likely be next fall before the grass is tall and pretty again.  I am so glad I got to use it while it lasted, but my heart broke when I realized that it had been chopped down.  However, I did manage to capture this great field several times last fall and I will definitely be keeping an eye on it to grow back!  Also, these doggies were the sweetest pups and such great little posers!  I always encourage people to include their dogs in their family portraits.  These two pups made this session so fun!

Ben-Aharon Family Portraits

I love it when I get to work with my friends to capture their family portraits!  Amy has been my best friend for going on 18 years!  Her beautiful family is always so much fun to photograph.  I have done several sessions with them through the years. This session turned out better than I could have imagined and I am so happy that I was able to capture the spirit of their fun family.  This portrait session was done at one of my favorite Dallas locations, Central Square Park.   We did this Family Portrait session in preparation of Elliana's Bat-Mitzvah.  They wanted an updated portrait of the entire family as well as celebrating Elli's journey to her Bat-Mitzvah with some portraits of her with her parents.  Elli's little brother, Asher, sure did steal the show with his goofy antics. He is so funny! I am glad I got to capture his awesome personality.  Overall, I think this may be my all-time favorite portrait session, but I am a little biased since it's a family that I hold so near and dear to my heart.    What do you think of this gorgeous family?  Let me know if the comments below!
